“Hi everyone, i know this may seem a long shot but i have traced my family history back to Dallington 1686 where my 9th great grandfather married Mary Dallaway, and i cant find anything further back. William Isard seems to pop up in Dallington from nowere and wed Mary, as i say its a long shot but if you could point me in the right direction, well what a help.Many thanks “

Dallington History 
Just found this again – so in case you are still looking .. William and Mary were definitely married in Dallington as you say, but recorded on the register as coming from Rotherfield, and the following year their daughter Elizabeth was baptised in Rotherfield, so that’s probably where they were settled. To confuse matters there’s another William and Mary Izard recorded at Dallington in Northamptonshire but I think that’s just coincidence!
